George performs in his own new translation of Ludmilla, a 1944 cabaret-operetta by Willy Rosen and Erich Ziegler. Written, produced and performed by Jewish prisoners in Westerbork transit camp, this madcap comedy tells the story of a young woman torn between two fighting suitors.
The cast features the two latest winners of the Kurt Weill Foundation’s prestigious Lotte Lenya Competition: baritone George Robarts (2025) and mezzo-soprano Lila Chrisp (2026).
